
Although IML technology has been widely applied in both daily chemical packaging (e.g., shampoo bottles, skincare product boxes) and industrial packaging (e.g., 20L paint buckets, chemical buckets), due to the huge differences in product dimensions, usage environments, and force requirements between the two, there are obvious focus points in system design:
Daily chemical containers are usually smaller in size, complex in shape (multi-curved or irregular), and have "zero tolerance" for visual defects.
Precision Requirements: Requires precision positioning robots with millisecond-level and millimeter-level error tolerances.
Label Material: Mostly uses ultra-thin, high-transparency or high-gloss materials.
Environment & Quality Inspection: High requirements for environmental cleanliness. The system focuses on dust-proofing and anti-static, combined with visual inspection equipment for 100% appearance defect screening.
Paint buckets or chemical buckets are large in volume, relatively thick in wall, and have a huge label area (often needing to wrap around the entire bucket body).
Equipment Configuration: Requires heavy-duty servo robots to carry the huge label feeding fixture and suction system.
Label Material: Requires professional PP film with greater thickness and better thermal fusion performance.
Physical Properties: To withstand stacking compression, collision, and outdoor wind and sun exposure during transportation, the label must be deeply fused with the bucket wall, possessing extremely strong tear resistance, corrosion resistance, and weather resistance.
